Corporate Support

Could your organisation support Our Space?

We provide a safe, welcoming space for hundreds of families each year and we could not do this without the support of our local business community.

As a business you could benefit from partnering with our unique charity which supports children and their families living with disability. Your support can extend our impact, fund vital equipment and provide a safe haven for young people.

Whether you choose us as your Charity of the Year, or join us at one of our fundraising events, we are always grateful for your support.

What our other supporters say……

The fact our employer allows us the time to volunteer is really valuable; I appreciate the opportunity to meet new people and make a positive difference.

Gary Wainwright, Wincanton for Screwfix

The team members taking part have not done anything like this before and are really looking forward to the challenge, they are putting training in place to really make the most of the opportunity. What is most important to us is raising funds for such a fantastic local charity. Our space provides play and recreational activities and facilities for disabled children, young people and adults, and also provide vital support for their families too. This charity is really close to all our hearts and raising funds for it makes us really proud to be part of this event.

Jemma, Ann McCabe Solicitors

Volunteering at Our Space gives me a feeling of giving back to the community and making a difference to the lives of the adults and children they support; Our Space are different because they support everyone not just people with a specific disability. Volunteering is also fun and gives me a sense of personal achievement

Employee Fundraising Events

Build staff morale by challenging teams or individuals to organise fundraising events such as a sponsored walk, an office Bake Off event, Christmas Jumper Day or a raffle, or they may want to challenge themselves by doing something adventurous like sky diving or the three peaks challenge.

Form a team and join a fundraising event organised by Our Space

Why not form a team and join in with one of our fundraising events which will be advertised on our website? The day is usually great fun and provides participants with a huge sense of personal achievement, whilst also raising much needed funds.

Last year staff from Ann McCabe Solicitors formed a team and took part in our sponsored walk up Mount Snowdon raising a fantastic £1700.00 for Our Space– read about why they wanted to get involved:

“I spoke to a staff member at Our Space a few months ago to see what we could do as a business to get involved in helping them either by giving up our time or by raising funds.  When I was made aware of this charity walk up Snowdon I thought it was a perfect opportunity to raise awareness.   This charity is close to my heart personally.  My niece was diagnosed with autism at an early age the decision was made that it would be too difficult for her to attend mainstream schooling, seeing the struggles and her mum have to face daily is hard and knowing that charities such as Our Space are there to provide an outlet and additional support is amazing.   She is reaching the age now where she will begin to use facilities such as Our Space and knowing that these types of charities can support her throughout childhood and into adulthood is brilliant.  I attended Our Space for an afternoon to see their facilities and I was blown away, the outdoor area is out of this world and they have a huge soft play area.  They do so much by way of support for people with additional needs but also their families. This is a safe space where you can meet other families going through the same thing as you and gain a support network.  Without the support and funds from outsiders, charities like Our Space would not be able to do the amazing job that they do”.

Match funding

Could your company match the money raised by your employees? This is a fantastic way to boost individual fundraising totals and for your company to acknowledge the efforts of your employees, as well as helping to raise more funds for Our Space

Payroll Giving

One of the simplest ways, and most tax efficient ways, to give. We can set up a payroll giving account which your staff can opt into, should they wish to.

Staff Volunteering

We always need volunteers to help us to maintain our outdoor space and play equipment. It is a chance for some team bonding and a brilliant day out of the office.

Staff volunteer days make such a difference to us, it is amazing the amount of work that can be achieved in just a few hours. As one of the group volunteers from Screwfix said, ‘It gave us a sense of pride. We knew that we were doing good for the charity, but also for ourselves’’

Gifts in Kind/Event Sponsorship

Could your business help us by donating raffle prizes or items to auction, which we can turn into much-needed funds? Maybe you could lend us your expertise and donate your business services? Perhaps you could sponsor one of our sessions or events and publicise your business at the same time!

Become a Charity Partner

A longer-term commitment of a year or more allows us to plan ahead and work in meaningful partnership. We can work with you to devise a calendar of activities and agree how your support will be used, giving you highlights to share throughout the year. Take a look at our Partnership pack

The Difference We Make

The benefits gained from Our Space stretch beyond our grounds and our sessions. Take a look at our infographic that shows the impact Our Space has both on our members and their families and to the wider community.

Please consider making a donation. Your donation could help to us to pay for new specialist equipment for our grounds.

As a charity we receive no government funding and we rely on the kind support of our community to keep our charity open for the hundreds of families that visit us each year. Without this support, many parents have told us that they would struggle to find a safe, secure and understanding place for their child to play.
