About Our Space

Our History

Our Space was established in 2016 following the closure of the North Staffordshire Special Adventure Playground (NSSAP). The NSSAP was a much-loved charity providing social activities to children and adults with disabilities for almost 30 years. The closure came as a devastating blow to families who had used the charity and friendships, that had built up over many years, were in danger of being lost. A group of determined former staff and parents got together to set up Our Space in order to be able to provide the same lifeline for future families. After much hard work, and support from many dedicated volunteers, the rest is history! Our Space is now a thriving charity providing a vital service to many people with disabilities.

Please consider making a donation. Your donation could help to fund a specialist tricycle.

As a charity we receive no government funding and we rely on the kind support of our community to keep our charity open for the hundreds of families that visit us each year. Without this support, many parents have told us that they would struggle to find a safe, secure and understanding place for their child to play.

Sessions provided through Stoke Aiming High.
