    Working together to lead the charity forward
  • Our board of trustees consists of 6 members, all with various experience, skills and knowledge.

  • “Our job is to ensure that the charity is always moving forwards and in the best interests of its members. We want to create a sustainable model, one that can outlive the difficulties being faced in these challenging economic times. We know how vital these services are to families from both the local area and the wider Staffordshire area, and together we will ensure that they are available for many, many years to come”.

      As well as working for the previous charity, I currently run my own business and come from a social media, marketing and design background. I hope to help Our Space reach out to new families as well as developing fundraising and other campaigns.

      I have both experience and passion for working with the local community and with those with disabilities. I also love working alongside other organisations. The previous charity always held a special place in my heart and I am excited to see where we can now take Our Space in the future.

      As well as being a local Primary School Teacher and SENCo, I worked at the previous charity for a number of years. I hope to help to develop fresh services as well as how to work alongside other organisations to meet the needs of our members.

      I have had over 25 years experience working within the voluntary and charity sector with children and adults with disabilities, latterly being the Service Manager of NSSAP. I am using my experience to develop Our Space’s services and, as Treasurer, I also oversee the charity’s finances. I am passionate about what we do and excited for our future

      I have a child with a disability & made use of the previous charity before it closed. I hope to bring a parent’s perspective to the team as well as a business head.

      I graduated from Staffordshire University in 2009 with a Media Studies and Journalism degree. Using these skills, I write press releases and help to manage social media for Our Space. As a member of the previous charity for over 20 years, I feel privileged to now be a Trustee and look forward to seeing Our Space develop.

    We would just like to say a special thank you to the Our Space members for their support over the past 18 months. It’s been a daunting but exciting journey and we are looking forward to seeing where we can take the charity in the coming months and years.
